We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Landscape design from our project portfolio

DESIGNED TO WORK TOGETHER

Make the most of your landscape.

A complete landscape starts with how you want to use the property. Decide where you want to relax, cook, gather, or enjoy a quieter view. From there, connect the outdoor areas through a clear layout, suitable materials, planting, and practical access.

01

Give every area a clear purpose

Prioritize the activities that matter to your household. A smaller yard may benefit from fewer, better-planned zones rather than trying to include every feature.
02

Balance surfaces and planting

Think about the relationship between patio areas, turf, decorative rock, and planting. A deliberate mix can help the yard feel comfortable and visually connected.
03

Connect the house to the landscape

Consider the views from your living spaces and where you step outside. The landscape should make sense from inside the home as well as from the patio.
CUSTOM DESIGN & BUILD

Thoughtful details for a high-end landscape

A custom outdoor space is shaped by proportion and placement. Plan enough room around seating, connect a cooking area to the dining space, and choose materials that work with the home. Shade and lighting belong in the conversation early so the design supports more than one way of using the yard.
  • Patios and walkways sized around your outdoor activities
  • Pergolas and seating areas integrated into the layout
  • Planting and landscape surfaces that complement the home
  • Outdoor kitchens where the footprint and scope allow
  • Lighting and finishing details considered as part of the whole space

See the design before the build.

Use a 3D rendering to discuss the proposed space, layout, and appearance.
YOUR FIRST CONVERSATION

Bring your priorities into focus

Tell us how you use the yard now and what would make you spend more time outside. Share photographs, rough dimensions if available, and the features you want to retain. Mention access constraints, your budget range, and the timing you have in mind so the project discussion stays practical.

BEFORE YOU START

Landscape design questions

Your plan can bring together patios and paths, planting, synthetic grass, shade, lighting, outdoor kitchens, and other landscape features. The proposal should identify which design work and installation services are included for your property.

Discuss the whole outdoor area, including what you want to remove, retain, and add. A coordinated design helps you consider the relationship between surfaces, planting, access, and gathering areas before agreeing to the installation scope.

Our 3D rendering service provides a way to discuss the proposed layout and appearance. Ask which views, revisions, and design deliverables would be included in your project proposal.

Bring your property location, current photos, priorities, approximate budget, and preferred timing. Point out existing features you want to keep, access limitations, and any requirements that need to be reviewed.

Explore our landscape design pages for Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Cave Creek, Surprise, Buckeye, and Tempe. Share the project address when you contact us so we can discuss your property and proposed scope.

Cost depends on the design work, installation scope, materials, existing conditions, access, and preparation required. Describe your priorities and budget range so the proposal can address your property rather than a generic price example.
