Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

An undersized patio, a tired lawn, or an awkward side yard can limit how much you enjoy being outside. Start by identifying what you want to do differently. Your renovation can then address the layout and the surrounding details together, from the route out of the house to the edge of each planting area.
Compare the current patio with the furniture you want to use. A better footprint can create room for chairs, a dining table, and a clear route into the yard without pushing every activity onto the lawn.
Think about where children play, where pets spend time, and how you reach gates or equipment. Discuss the surfaces and clearances those activities need so the spaces between larger features have a purpose.
A renovation may retain a covered patio or pool surround while replacing other areas. Review the condition, color, and elevation of those surfaces before choosing new paving, turf edges, or planting borders.

For your Peoria project, start with a short list of problems to solve. You may need more shaded seating, less awkward mowing space, or a better route from the back door to the grill. Share current photos, the features you want to retain, and a budget range so the design discussion stays focused.
If you want to spread the renovation across stages, discuss the final arrangement first. Preparation for a future pergola, kitchen, or lighting may affect the first phase. Review access, drainage concerns, and any applicable HOA requirements before the installation scope is finalized.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Your renovation might combine a patio extension with synthetic grass, lighting, or a pergola. A larger project could also include an outdoor kitchen or a new gathering area. Define those priorities in the proposal and ask about drawings or 3D rendering options if you want to compare the arrangement before installation.
Identify the problems you want the project to solve before making a feature list. Share how you use the yard now, what feels uncomfortable, and what you would like to do outside more often. Those details help establish the layout and the most useful first improvements.
An existing patio can remain part of the plan if its condition and dimensions suit the proposed layout. Review its edges, elevations, and drainage alongside new work. The proposal should identify retained surfaces and how new areas will connect to them.
Discuss both routines during the design conversation. Leave appropriate space for furniture, movement, and the activities you want the open areas to support. A flexible layout can give seating and lawn distinct roles without making the yard feel divided.
Begin with the overall layout and the preparation needed to support it. Then compare the improvements that matter most to you against the available budget. If work is phased, confirm what must be prepared early and how later installation will reach the unfinished areas.
The amount of removal, site access, preparation, selected materials, and features all contribute to the scope. Share photos and any known issues, such as areas where water collects. Ask the proposal to distinguish installation work from any separate design or visualization services.
