Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Hardscape design establishes where you walk, gather, and move between outdoor areas. A well-planned patio gives furniture a place, while paths and borders define its relationship to the lawn, pool, and planted beds. Material choice follows those decisions about use and layout.
Set the dimensions around dining, seating, or another intended use. Include room for circulation and review the relationship to doorways. A patio design should account for what will sit on it and how people will move around it.
Connect the house, gates, lawn, and gathering areas with routes that make sense. Discuss changes in level, edges, and joins with existing surfaces. Those details influence both the appearance and the installation scope.
Compare concrete pavers, travertine, and porcelain beside the house and other selected finishes. Review texture, format, pattern, and product suitability for the proposed location, including exposed areas and poolside use.

Identify the doors, gates, existing patios, and outdoor features the new hardscape needs to connect. Share photos of uneven surfaces, low spots, and places where water collects. The site assessment should inform finished levels and preparation before the paving pattern is finalized.
For a Phoenix property, compare material samples outdoors and discuss their intended application and care. A poolside terrace, a covered dining patio, and a path through planting may place different demands on the selected product. Ask about the exact material proposed rather than assuming every stone or paver performs the same way.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
A hardscape proposal should explain the surface area, material, layout, removal, base preparation, and edge treatment. Discuss water movement and transitions to retained surfaces before installation. If the plan includes a pergola or outdoor kitchen, coordinate its footprint and any required foundations or utility routes with the paving work. These details help keep the finished installation aligned with the overall design.
Choosing pavers is one part of the process. Hardscape design also addresses patio size, walkways, circulation, levels, borders, and connections to the house and landscape. The material and laying pattern are selected within that plan.
DSSG offers concrete pavers, travertine, and outdoor porcelain installation. Compare the appearance, intended use, product specifications, and care requirements for the actual materials proposed. The best fit depends on your design and site rather than one material being right for every patio.
That can be considered during the site assessment. Existing condition, finished height, drainage, and the material transition affect the approach. Share photos and explain which surfaces you want to retain so the proposal addresses the join clearly.
You can discuss poolside paving and how it connects to patios, paths, and lawn. Review material suitability, coping details where applicable, and the boundaries of the work. Any changes to the pool itself should be separately defined rather than assumed to be included in landscape work.
Area, access, demolition, base preparation, material choice, pattern, and edge details all affect the estimate. Changes in level or additional drainage work can also change the scope. Request a free project estimate based on the measurements and conditions at your Phoenix property.
