Mike and his team did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Our backyard was dirt with a pool and casita. The transformation is amazing and the workmanship was excellent. They were professional and had great communication, which we appreciated. We would highly recommend them for any job you have.

Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

A complete backyard makeover starts with deciding what should stay. An existing pool, mature planting, or covered patio may already give the space a useful foundation. We help you consider those features alongside the areas that need a different layout, finish, or purpose.
Identify the parts of the yard you still enjoy and the problems you want to solve. A renovation can connect an existing patio to new seating or reshape a lawn without treating every part of the property as a demolition project.
Look at the routes from the back door to the pool, grill, and lawn. Plan room around furniture and clear paths between activities. A more useful layout can come from changing where spaces meet, not simply adding more features.
Removal, access, grading, and irrigation changes affect what can be built above them. Include those discussions early so the proposed patio, turf, and planting reflect the preparation needed for your property.
These completed DSSG projects show different ways to connect lawn, paving, and outdoor gathering areas. The after photos are from our Phoenix Valley portfolio and illustrate possibilities for a renovation, rather than a promise of the same layout for every home.

Start with the parts of the backyard that limit how you use it. You may need a larger dining patio, more usable shade, an easier route around a pool, or a lawn area suited to the household. Share those priorities before choosing finishes so the design responds to daily use.
For a Phoenix backyard, discuss where you spend time in the morning and late afternoon, where water collects after rain, and how equipment can reach the work area. Photos of narrow side access, existing steps, irrigation, and surfaces to remove help make the first conversation more specific.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
A useful proposal distinguishes removal and preparation from new installation. Review the areas included, selected materials, drainage or irrigation work, and connections to existing surfaces. If you want to renovate in phases, discuss the overall layout first so future work does not require removing a newly finished patio or turf edge. Ask which design views and revisions are included before design work begins.
Your project may combine demolition and site preparation with new patios, synthetic grass, planting, irrigation changes, lighting, pergolas, or an outdoor kitchen. The final scope depends on the existing yard and your priorities. We work through the layout before you commit to a collection of separate improvements.
An existing feature can become part of the new landscape plan. Share photos and explain what you want to keep. We can discuss the surrounding paving, lawn, shade, and access without assuming the pool or the house needs to be rebuilt. Pool construction or structural modifications need their own agreed scope.
The estimate depends on the area, demolition, access, preparation, materials, and features selected. A patio and turf update has a different scope from a renovation with shade structures, an outdoor kitchen, and lighting. Request a free project estimate based on your actual Phoenix property.
Discuss phasing during the design conversation. Preparation, utility routes, finished levels, and access can affect the order of work. An overall plan helps you choose a practical first phase and identify work that should be completed before new surfaces are installed.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings to review the proposed arrangement and appearance. Confirm the design fee, included views, and revision allowance separately from the free project estimate. A rendering helps with design decisions, while the written proposal defines the installation scope.
