Mike and his team did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Our backyard was dirt with a pool and casita. The transformation is amazing and the workmanship was excellent. They were professional and had great communication, which we appreciated. We would highly recommend them for any job you have.

Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

When a backyard has grown through separate additions, its spaces can feel disconnected. Review how your terrace, lawn, paths, and gathering areas relate to each other. A renovation gives you the opportunity to simplify those relationships and make the landscape feel like a natural extension of your home.
Identify established planting, an existing pool, or a view you want the new layout to respect. Plan the work around those priorities, including how they will be protected and accessed during construction.
If parts of your property feel detached from the house, review their purpose and the route that connects them. A considered path, lighting, and a useful destination can give an overlooked area a clearer role.
You do not need to fill every part of the yard. Keep room for the outlook you enjoy and place new seating, shade, or lawn where it improves daily use. The plan should work from indoors as well as from the patio.
These completed DSSG projects from our Phoenix Valley portfolio show different ways to connect stone patios, lawn, and outdoor gathering areas. Your renovation will respond to your own property and priorities.

Walk through your Paradise Valley backyard from the rooms you use most. Note which views you want to preserve and where a new structure or feature could interrupt them. Discuss privacy needs, construction access, and any existing landscape areas that should remain undisturbed.
For a larger scope, establish the overall plan before separating the work into phases. Utility routes and preparation for future features may need attention earlier than their visible installation. Confirm applicable property restrictions and approvals for the proposed work during planning.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
A backyard renovation can combine hardscape, turf, pergolas, lighting, and an outdoor kitchen. The layout should account for the preparation and connections each feature needs. Ask for a proposal that defines the selected work, responsibilities, and exclusions, with design or 3D visualization services identified separately where applicable.
Identify the planting you want to keep during the initial discussion. Its condition, irrigation needs, and relationship to construction access must be considered. Confirm protection measures and any required specialist assessment as part of planning the work.
Start by identifying the sightlines that matter from your house and existing seating. Review the height and location of proposed structures, planting, and features against those views. A layout or visualization can help you compare choices before committing.
Your priorities can be concentrated in one useful part of the property. A focused patio, shade, or circulation improvement may address the main issue. Review the broader layout first so a smaller project can connect sensibly to future work.
The surrounding landscape can be planned around a pool you want to retain. Discuss existing decking, access, drainage, and the condition of adjoining surfaces. Clarify any pool-related construction or repair responsibilities separately in the proposed scope.
Provide your address, current photos, and a list of the features to retain or replace. Share any available site plan, property requirements, and your budget range. Explain how you use the yard now and what you want the renovation to change.
