Landscape Design / Paradise Valley / Pergolas
A pergola changes the way an outdoor area looks from the house as well as the way you use it. For your Paradise Valley property, Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass helps you consider its proportions, finish, and placement within the landscape. An Alumawood structure can define a gathering area while leaving the connections to the home and garden clear.

Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Plan pergolas around the way you want to use your Paradise Valley property.
Review the height and footprint in relation to the house, surrounding walls, and available outdoor space. A pergola should define its intended area while leaving useful room around doors, paths, and nearby features.
Stand inside the rooms that face the yard and consider what the pergola will frame or screen. The position of posts, roof lines, and seating can change the view well beyond the area beneath the structure.
Compare the proposed Alumawood finish with existing trim, paving, and landscape materials. The structure does not need to repeat every surrounding color, but its relationship to those finishes should be deliberate.
These real project photos show work from the DSSG portfolio across the Phoenix Valley. They are design examples and are not presented as projects completed in Paradise Valley.
Finished pergola dining area with a television wall and outdoor seating.
Completed pergola seating area connected to an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
Finished backyard with paving, synthetic grass, string lights, and a pergola.
Decide whether the space will be used for conversation, dining, or a quieter place away from the main patio. Each use leads to different furniture and circulation needs. Share the items you want underneath the pergola, then review how people will enter, move around, and reach the rest of the yard.
An attached or freestanding arrangement should be considered around the property and the proposed design. Discuss the conditions and connections required for the options available to you. If the surrounding landscape is also changing, coordinate the structure with new paving, planting, kitchen features, and any planned lighting.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
The written scope should identify the configuration, dimensions, finish, installation boundary, and any related preparation. Ask how site conditions, structural connections, footings, utility work, and applicable project requirements will be reviewed. Agree on responsibilities before scheduling the installation.
The appropriate arrangement depends on the property, intended location, and proposed structure. Review both the design relationship and the installation requirements with the team before choosing between the available configurations.
Yes. Consider the pergola while the overall layout is being developed. Its footprint, access, finish, and relationship to paving or a kitchen can then be reviewed as parts of the same outdoor space.
View the proposed options beside the exterior of your home and any retained paving or stone. Consider the appearance from inside the house as well as the seating area, and confirm the available finishes for the proposed Alumawood system.
Identify what you want to retain and provide current photos. Their position and condition need to be reviewed alongside access, preparation, and the proposed structure location so the scope can address the surrounding areas.
Dimensions, configuration, finish, site conditions, preparation, connections, and included accessories all affect the proposal. Lighting or other utility needs may add a separate scope, so compare proposals with the same inclusions.
