Landscape Design / Paradise Valley / Outdoor Kitchens
Your outdoor kitchen should feel connected to the home, with finishes and proportions that make sense beside the patio and garden. Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass helps Paradise Valley homeowners consider those relationships while planning the cooking area. Start with the setting and intended use, then develop the island, counters, equipment, and surrounding gathering space.

Mike and his team did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Our backyard was dirt with a pool and casita. The transformation is amazing and the workmanship was excellent. Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Plan outdoor kitchens around the way you want to use your Paradise Valley property.
Look at the proposed island from the rooms and doors that face the yard. Its height, finish, and placement can influence the whole outlook, so review those relationships before the footprint is fixed.
Decide where meals will be served and how guests will move between the table, lounge, and kitchen. A separate dining area can work alongside a serving counter when the paths and furniture clearances are planned together.
Compare the island face, countertop, paving, and nearby architectural finishes as a group. A smaller set of coordinated materials can give the cooking area a clear relationship to the rest of the property.
These real project photos show work from the DSSG portfolio across the Phoenix Valley. They are design examples and are not presented as projects completed in Paradise Valley.

Identify the parts of your landscape that already work well. An existing covered patio, planting area, or gathering space may influence where a kitchen belongs. Discuss what should remain and how the new work will meet retained surfaces so the finished area has a considered boundary.
The shape of the kitchen should follow the available space and the equipment you intend to use. Review preparation space, storage, access around the island, and the location of the dining area. A 3D rendering can help you discuss the proposed appearance before the installation scope is finalized.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Compare the proposed kitchen footprint, material selections, equipment, and preparation as one scope. Existing surfaces, site access, utility requirements, and surrounding landscape work can affect the project. Clarify any appliances, connections, or specialist services that are excluded rather than assuming they are part of the island installation.
Bring exterior photos and details of the paving, stone, or other finishes you want to retain. Review the proposed counter and island materials alongside those features, then confirm the selections in the project scope.
Share the area you want to change and the parts you want to leave in place. Their condition, access, levels, and connections need to be reviewed so the proposal identifies a workable installation boundary.
Ask about the 3D rendering service and the views included for your proposed project. A visualization can support discussion of the island position, finishes, and relationship to other outdoor features before construction.
Begin with the equipment and activities you need to accommodate, then review the space around each option. Cooking, preparation, storage, seating, and access all influence whether a particular shape is suitable for your property.
The selected equipment, dimensions, finish materials, existing conditions, access, and required preparation all matter. Discuss your priorities and budget, and ask how any utility work or related patio improvements would be handled in the proposal.
