Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

A terrace should feel comfortable when you are using it and balanced when you see it from inside. Plan its dimensions around furniture, surrounding open space, and the architecture of the house. Then use paths and material transitions to connect it to the rest of your property.
Let the main terrace support your primary activity, with secondary patios or paths sized for their purpose. A clear relationship between larger and smaller areas keeps the layout understandable without covering every open space.
Look carefully at where paving meets doors, existing pool surrounds, lawn, and planting. Discuss elevations and drainage before finalizing surface details. Any structural work should have its requirements and responsibilities clearly defined.
Compare material samples and laying patterns against the home and the size of the paved area. A restrained border or a change in direction may provide enough definition without adding unrelated colors and textures.
Our real completed Phoenix Valley portfolio includes these examples of stone patios, paver routes, and transitions to lawn. Explore the material combinations and connections between outdoor spaces.

On your Paradise Valley property, consider the route between the main terrace, gates, and any separate outdoor destination. Review walking distance, surface transitions, and lighting needs. A direct route can improve convenience, while a more deliberate path can make a garden or seating area feel separate.
Before comparing finish options, review site access, removal, base preparation, and runoff. Existing slopes or level changes may require additional assessment. The proposal should distinguish the paving work from any specialized structural or drainage work that the design requires.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Concrete pavers, travertine, and exterior porcelain offer different design and maintenance considerations. Choose the specific product for the intended area, and coordinate it with future shade, kitchen, or lighting plans. Your hardscape can be a focused project or the framework for a larger backyard renovation.
Begin with the furniture and activities it needs to support, then review its proportions against the house and surrounding landscape. Extra property area does not automatically require more paving. Separate smaller destinations may serve your needs better than one oversized surface.
Compare their color, texture, scale, and intended use. A coordinated transition can distinguish a path from a gathering area, while too many unrelated finishes can make the landscape feel fragmented. Review physical samples together before selecting the combination.
Discuss existing levels, walking routes, and runoff before committing to a layout. Steps, retaining elements, or other structural work may require additional design and approvals. Confirm the responsible parties and included work in the proposal.
Review the exact products, finish options, installation requirements, and maintenance guidance for your intended location. Surface feel and appearance can vary within a material category. Compare samples and ask how the selected product will be installed and cared for.
Yes, discuss future pergolas, kitchens, or lighting before the paving plan is finalized. Their locations and any necessary preparation should be accounted for in the overall design. A written phased scope helps identify what is installed now and what remains for later.
