Mike and his team did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Our backyard was dirt with a pool and casita. The transformation is amazing and the workmanship was excellent. They were professional and had great communication, which we appreciated. We would highly recommend them for any job you have.

Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Your everyday retreat and your entertaining space can share a yard without serving the same purpose. Decide where you want conversation, dining, and a quieter place to sit. Give those areas clear connections while respecting the views and privacy that make your property comfortable.
Position cooking and dining where they support hosting, then consider a more sheltered lounge for daily use. Think about sound, proximity to bedrooms, and the routes guests take between outdoor areas.
Place furniture and shade with the view from each seat in mind. Consider what a pergola, kitchen, or taller landscape element will look like from the house before making it a focal point.
Allow room for serving, clearing dishes, and moving around seated guests. Discuss appliance needs and lighting at work surfaces so an attractive outdoor kitchen also supports the way you prepare food.

Completed pergola lounge with a stone patio, lawn, and landscape lighting at dusk.
Finished covered outdoor living area with seating, dining, and an outdoor kitchen.
Completed stone terrace with outdoor seating and an outdoor kitchen.
Begin with the rooms and doors that lead into your Paradise Valley yard. The most frequently used seating area benefits from convenient access, while a separate destination can offer more privacy. Discuss the number of people you normally host rather than designing only for an occasional large gathering.
Review shade, furniture placement, and lighting together. If an outdoor kitchen or structure is part of the plan, confirm utility needs and applicable approvals before installation. Material samples and a 3D rendering option can help you evaluate how new features will relate to the existing home.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Outdoor living design may include a pergola, kitchen, dining terrace, and lighting, with lawn or planting connecting those areas. You can also plan a focused addition to an existing yard. Define the features and finishes in your proposal so the project scope is clear before work begins.
Start by deciding how each area will be used and how much separation you want. Your available space, views, and routes from the house will guide the arrangement. Furniture placement and the position of cooking areas can help distinguish the uses without dividing the yard unnecessarily.
Compare the shade you need at your preferred hours with the views and walking routes you want to preserve. Review the structure in relation to the home, seating, and nearby features. Confirm the requirements that apply to its proposed location and construction.
Discuss lighting early so wiring routes and fixture locations can be coordinated with paving and other work. Consider paths and cooking tasks as well as the mood around seating. Early planning reduces the chance of needing to disturb finished surfaces.
Review the available footprint, serving route, appliances, and utility access. The kitchen should leave enough space for people to move around it and meet the requirements of the selected equipment. Its finish can then be coordinated with retained paving and nearby features.
Confirm the layout, selected features, materials, and included installation work in your proposal. Ask whether drawings or 3D renderings are appropriate for the scope, what they show, and whether they carry a separate fee. Resolve key dimensions and selections before work begins.
