Mike and his team did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Our backyard was dirt with a pool and casita. The transformation is amazing and the workmanship was excellent. They were professional and had great communication, which we appreciated. We would highly recommend them for any job you have.

Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Start with a few everyday decisions: where you want to sit, how many people you want to host, and how you carry food from the house. Those answers shape the patio, shade, and kitchen layout. A polished outdoor living space gives each activity enough room without making the yard feel crowded.
Allow room to pull chairs back and walk around the table while people are seated. Position dining close enough to food preparation to be convenient, while keeping the main route through the yard clear.
A breakfast patio and a late-afternoon lounge can need different shade strategies. Review the direction of the sun and the coverage you want before deciding on a pergola location or extending the paved area.
Include lighting for walking routes and everyday tasks alongside the atmosphere you want around seating. Consider the view from inside the house, and discuss fixture placement that avoids shining directly into nearby windows.

Show us your doors, existing covered patio, and the furniture you plan to use. If hosting is a priority, discuss how guests move between the kitchen, dining table, and lounge. If you prefer a quieter yard, reserve a comfortable seating area and keep the surrounding materials restrained.
An outdoor kitchen or shaded structure can affect utilities, construction access, and the order of installation. Confirm those requirements before paving is installed. Review any applicable HOA or approval requirements for your selected scope rather than assuming every addition follows the same process.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Your outdoor living project can bring together pergolas, outdoor kitchens, patios, and landscape lighting. If your current backyard needs broader changes, a renovation plan can address the surrounding lawn and circulation at the same time. Confirm the individual features and installation work included in your proposal.
Include the spaces that support your daily routines and the way you host. That might mean a shaded lounge and a dining patio, with an outdoor kitchen added if you will use it regularly. Start with the layout and then select the features that fit your property and budget.
Review the available dimensions with the appliances and furniture you want. Walking routes, chair clearances, and working space around the kitchen all need room. A compact layout may work best with fewer features sized appropriately for the yard.
Convenient access to the indoor kitchen is useful, but the final location also depends on utilities, ventilation, appliance requirements, and circulation. Discuss these details before choosing the cabinet layout or patio footprint.
An existing patio can become the starting point if its condition, dimensions, and elevations support the proposed work. Review how extensions will meet the original surface and whether the current arrangement leaves enough room for seating and movement.
Send your Scottsdale property address, current photos, and the features you are considering. Include your budget range and any furniture or appliance dimensions you already have. Ask about design and visualization options when you discuss the scope.
