Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Start with the places you need to reach and the activities you want to support. A dining patio, a path to a gate, and a quiet seating terrace each have different requirements. Define their purpose before deciding how much paving belongs in the landscape.
Review the boundaries between patios, planting, lawn, and retained landscape areas. A deliberate edge helps the paved space feel complete and leaves the surrounding yard with a useful role.
Consider the relationship between doors, patios, paths, and adjacent surfaces. Changes in level and runoff need attention before selecting a finish. Any structural elements should have their design and installation requirements clearly defined.
Review actual paving samples beside the home and retained materials. Consider the intended use, surface finish, pattern, and maintenance guidance for the specific product rather than choosing from a photograph alone.

For your Cave Creek property, mark the connections between the house, gates, seating, and any separate outdoor destination. Review the width and direction of each route. Discuss whether a path needs to accommodate everyday access or mainly connect a quieter part of the yard.
Assess existing surfaces, site access, and preparation alongside the layout. If slopes, runoff, or retaining work affect the plan, identify the additional assessment and responsibilities required. Coordinate future shade, lighting, or kitchen features before the paving installation is finalized.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Concrete pavers, travertine, and exterior porcelain offer different options for the areas you are planning. Compare the exact products for their intended use and installation requirements. Your proposal should identify the paved areas, preparation, borders, and connections included in the work.
Begin with the space required for your furniture, activities, and walking routes. Then consider how those areas relate to planting and the landscape you want to retain. A plan can define useful hardscape without filling every open part of the property.
Review the destinations and available routes before choosing an alignment. Existing features, changes in level, and access needs can influence the path. Its final design should account for preparation and drainage as well as how it looks in the landscape.
Discuss those needs before the paving scope is agreed. Structural features may require additional design, assessment, or approvals. Confirm who is responsible for that work and how it connects to the proposed patio or path installation.
Compare the scale, color, and texture of materials with the house and retained features. Consider edge details and the amount of each finish visible across the yard. Physical samples help you assess the combination more accurately than separate product images.
Check the specified area, materials, removal, preparation, and finishing details. Discuss existing levels and any drainage concerns. Confirm whether associated lighting, planting, or structural work is included or needs a separate scope.
