Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Decide where you need gathering space and where you need a route through the yard. Then compare paving materials for those specific uses. Defining the layout first helps you select a patio size, path alignment, and border treatment that work together.
Connect the doors, gates, and outdoor areas you actually use. Review the width and direction of those routes, including any tight points around existing features, before choosing the paving pattern.
Plan the transitions between new paving, existing concrete, lawn, and planting beds. Borders and termination details should have a clear purpose and suit the scale of the surrounding area.
Compare the size and direction of paving units with the patio or walkway footprint. Consider where cuts and borders will occur so a material you like also produces a balanced finished layout.
These real after photos from the DSSG Phoenix Valley portfolio show paver walkways, stone patios, and finished landscape connections. Explore how the surfaces relate to lawn and other outdoor features.

On your Glendale property, review the existing surface levels, access, and where water currently collects. Removal and base preparation are part of the installation discussion, along with the visible paving. Any required structural or specialized drainage work should have its scope and responsibilities identified.
Compare samples beside the home and any paving you want to retain. Review the selected product's finish, intended exterior use, and maintenance guidance. Coordinate future lighting, a kitchen, or a shade structure before finalizing the surrounding hardscape.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Concrete pavers, travertine, and exterior porcelain offer different design possibilities for patios and paths. Compare the specific products and installation requirements for your intended areas. Coordinate the material palette with your house, retained surfaces, and the landscape around the hardscape.
Establish where the paved areas go, how they will be used, and how they connect to the house and other features. Review dimensions, existing levels, and drainage considerations. Those decisions help narrow the product and installation options.
Review the condition, elevation, and edge of the retained surface. The transition needs to suit the layout and the installation requirements of the new material. Discuss whether a deliberate border or another transition detail would provide a better finish.
The pattern can influence the appearance of a path or patio and the location of cuts and borders. Compare it against the dimensions of your planned area. Ask to see how the layout will end at doors, edges, and changes in direction.
Compare all selected materials together, including the house and surfaces that remain. A smaller palette with carefully planned borders can provide definition without introducing several unrelated finishes. Use samples to assess the combination before final selections.
Confirm the defined areas, products, removal, preparation, and installation details. Review the connections to adjacent surfaces and any drainage considerations. Identify separate work such as lighting, turf, or structural elements so the project boundaries are clear.
