Mike and his team did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life. Our backyard was dirt with a pool and casita. The transformation is amazing and the workmanship was excellent. They were professional and had great communication, which we appreciated. We would highly recommend them for any job you have.

Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

You may already have a pool, a covered patio, or mature planting that gives your yard character. Start by identifying what still serves your home. Then plan the surrounding paving, usable lawn, seating, and shade so the renovation feels intentional from the back door to the far edge of the property.
Look at the route from your kitchen or living room to the spaces you use most. A patio extension or a clearer walkway can make a bigger difference than adding a feature that sits apart from everything else.
Worn paving, an awkward lawn shape, and unused corners can each affect how the yard feels. Review those areas together so new materials meet retained surfaces cleanly and the finished layout has a consistent direction.
Choose planting areas, synthetic grass, and hardscape with your maintenance preferences in mind. Include access for cleaning and irrigation repairs, and consider how leaves and debris will move through the finished space.

For your Scottsdale renovation, share current photos and point out where the yard feels uncomfortable or difficult to use. Note afternoon exposure, routes around existing features, and any areas where water collects. Those observations help define the work before you select finishes.
If your property has an HOA, collect its design requirements early. Review access for construction, the surfaces that need protection, and the order of work. A phased renovation should still follow one overall layout so a later addition does not require removing newly finished paving.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Your renovation may combine a new patio with synthetic grass, a pergola, landscape lighting, or an outdoor kitchen. The proposal should describe the selected work, retained features, and connections between new and existing areas. Ask about 3D rendering options if you want to compare the layout before installation.
You can plan new outdoor areas around features you want to retain. The design needs to account for their condition, elevations, access, and drainage. Pool construction or repairs should be discussed separately so the renovation proposal clearly identifies what is included.
Start with the areas that create the biggest problems. Keeping a sound patio or established feature may make sense, provided the new materials and transitions work with it. An estimate can compare a focused upgrade with a more complete renovation.
Discuss your priorities and budget at the start. Planning the full layout first helps establish where future features and any required utility routes belong. The proposal should identify what happens in each stage and what preparation is needed before surfaces are finished.
Removal, access, preparation, material selections, and the number of features all affect the scope. Retaining an existing feature can also require careful work around it. Share photos and a budget range so the estimate can address your actual property.
Ask which planning details are included in your project estimate and whether a separate design or 3D rendering service is appropriate. Confirm deliverables, revisions, and any design fees before that work begins.
