Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Plan putting greens around the way you want to use your Scottsdale property.
Think about short putts, longer rolls, and where you will stand. The green needs enough usable space around each intended line, with cup positions that support the kind of practice you enjoy.
A flatter practice area and a more varied putting surface create different experiences. Review the intended slopes and transitions while the footprint is being developed rather than adding contours without a playing goal.
Guests should be able to reach a chair or dining table without crossing a putting line. Coordinate the fringe, nearby paths, and gathering areas so the golf feature works on an ordinary evening outside.

Mark the space you can devote to golf and the outdoor activities you want to retain. A green can run beside a seating terrace or sit within a larger lawn, but its size should come from useful playing room rather than the remaining gap in a drawing. Check access around the edges and any nearby pool or planting.
For an overall backyard project, consider golf early in the landscape design. Base preparation, surface drainage, surrounding paving, and proposed lighting can influence the layout. A planned fringe can soften the appearance while giving you a clear transition into the rest of the yard.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Discuss the turf system, footprint, contours, cup locations, and fringe in your proposal. If you want a bunker or a separate chipping area, ask whether your space and intended use are suitable before including it. Playing characteristics depend on the selected materials and installation. Share your preferences without assuming every backyard green will behave like a course green.
Start with the putts you want to play and the room available around them. A review of the property can help establish a useful footprint. There is no single size that fits every yard or practice goal.
Yes. Plan it with your patio, shade, lawn, planting, and gathering areas. Considering those features together helps keep the green accessible while preserving room for other outdoor activities.
Discuss the number and positions during design. Cup placement needs to work with the available distances and intended contours. Confirm the agreed arrangement in the final installation scope.
A putting surface is selected for golf use, while landscape turf serves a different purpose. Compare the proposed putting and fringe materials and ask how each will be prepared and maintained.
Share photos of your Scottsdale yard, approximate dimensions, access details, and the practice experience you want. Include any other planned landscape work so the putting green can be discussed in context.
