Diamond stone was a blessing to work with. Communication was easy, everyone was punctual and easy to work with. They helped us pick a turf that would better suit our needs and were done with the work in 2 days. Everything looks amazing and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

We were looking for a landscape design and construction service for the backyard of our new home in Phoenix. My wife found Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass online, with good reviews, so we decided to get a quote from them. The project manager, DANIEL, responded and did the measurement for our backyard. He explained to us the materials and the labors. And the most importantly, the grading to direct water out of the backyard and away from the foundation of the house. In the same afternoon, he sent us the quote, the detail measurement, and the selections of materials. The quote is much better than what we expected, so we decided to hire them for this project. While the construction is ongoing, Daniel always kept us updated. We asked a lot of questions during the process, to prevent mistakes caused by misunderstanding. Daniel and his team always responded in a timely manner. The whole team is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They took care of the questions and issues we brought up, and the project ends up awesome. When I saw the outcome, I have nothing else to say but WOW. There was a tiny hiccough that the paver was too close to the gate, causing it hard to close. Once we brought it to Daniel's attention, his team showed up in two days and fixed it. How can we not appreciate a team taking care of problems so quickly? We are very happy that we chose DSSG to do our backyard.

Extremely satisfied with diamond stone. Daniel was very friendly and helpful during the consultation. I met with so many different companies, but knew almost immediately I’d go with them because of how Daniel communicated and made me feel confident in their work. The crew was very quick and professional as well. We got new turf installed and it looks amazing! Even after it was done, they have been communicating with me all the way. Great service and reasonable prices.

Plan concrete pavers around the way you want to use your Scottsdale property.
Lay out your dining table or lounge seating before deciding where the paving ends. The usable space includes room behind chairs, a route to the house, and the edges around planters or lawn areas.
A path should take you where you need to go without cutting awkwardly through a gathering area. Plan the connection between doors, side gates, a cooking space, and the parts of the yard you use most.
Consider the paver color, laying pattern, and border as a complete composition. A defined edge can separate a patio from turf or decorative rock while keeping the different surfaces visually connected.
These real project photos show work from the DSSG portfolio across the Phoenix Valley. They are design examples and are not presented as projects completed in Scottsdale.

Finished backyard with paving, synthetic grass, string lights, and a pergola.

Bring photos of your existing patio and the views from your main living spaces. We can discuss how the proposed paving meets the house, which features should remain, and whether the project needs new paths or a larger gathering area. For a high-end landscape, those transitions deserve as much attention as the material sample.
If you also want a pergola or outdoor kitchen, consider its location before the paving layout is settled. Posts, counters, access routes, and changes in surface level can affect how the finished patio works. A connected design gives you a clearer scope to discuss before installation.
Ask about 3D landscape renderings when you want to discuss the proposed appearance before installation.
Your proposal should reflect more than the visible paving area. Existing surfaces, removal, access, base preparation, drainage conditions, edges, and the selected paver all affect the work. Compare proposals with the same boundaries and ask which preparation and finishing items are included.
Yes. Share the furniture dimensions or the type of seating you intend to use. The layout can then account for occupied chairs, access around the table, and the route back to the house before the patio footprint is agreed.
The existing surface and its condition need to be reviewed. Discuss the levels, edge detail, drainage, and appearance of the connection so the proposal identifies what can remain and what work is needed.
Planning the features together helps identify the relationship between structure placement and the finished paving. Ask how any footings, post locations, or related work would be coordinated within your project scope.
They are different paving materials. Compare appearance, intended use, installation requirements, and upkeep for the areas you want to improve. Our separate travertine and porcelain service page provides another starting point for that discussion.
Send your project address, current photos, the areas you want paved, and your priorities. Include approximate dimensions if you have them, along with the features you want to keep and the budget range you want considered.
